WhatsApp Business Cloud API

Businesses can now access Cloud API directly from Meta without 3rd party providers and setup fees. If you want to manage your WhatsApp API account directly with Meta, this solution is for you.

In this guide, we will show you how to register a WhatsApp Cloud API number and connect it to CX platform.

Prerequisites

A valid WhatsApp Cloud Account.

Only one phone number is allowed to be added per Meta App. To add and connect more phone numbers, please create another App in Meta, please refer to How to Apply for a WhatsApp Business Cloud Account to create App.

Add WhatsApp Cloud channel

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to your system CX platform installation domain, and log in with the admin account.

  2. From the left navigation menu, go to Inbox > Channels > WhatsApp.

  3. Click on the “+” button.

  1. Click WhatsApp Cloud to add a WhatsApp Cloud account.

  1. Fill in the WhatsApp account information:

 

  • Fill in the Phone ID, Token and WhatsApp Business Account ID you saved locally in the WhatsApp channel account.

  • Copy the Webhook URL and Verify token from the CX platform’s WhatsApp channel account .

 

  • On the Edit webhook’s callback URL pop-up, provide the Webhook URL and Verify token you copied from CX platform in the previous step, then Click Verify and save.

Step4. Set Up a Webhook

  • Go back to CX platform, click Save.

Your WhatsApp Business Cloud account is now connected to CX.
