Telnyx SMS

CloudCX’s SMS integration makes it easy to handle SMS messages sent to your business alongside your other communication channels. The integration allows you to receive SMS messages from your customers and reply to them from inside the CloudCX Agent Panel. This means that you can provide quicker, more effective customer service over SMS than ever before.


Add a Telnyx SMS Account

Prerequisites

To use Telnyx SMS in the CX system, you need a Telnyx account and a Telnyx phone number that supports SMS.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to your system CloudCX installation domain, and log in with the admin account.

  2. From the left navigation menu, go to Inbox > Channel > SMS.

  1. Click on the “+” button and choose Telnyx SMS from the drop-down list.

  1. In the Add SMS Account page, you can do the following:

  • Name: Customize your Telnyx SMS account name.

Name is a unique identification ID for the Telnyx SMS account in the system. Make sure it's easily recognizable for yourself and your team. This name will only be used internally.

  1. Click Save. The Telnyx SMS account will be listed on the Inbox > Channels > SMS. Now, the system will be able to receive or send messages from or to the Telnyx SMS account.

Get Telnyx Essential Credentials

  1. Go to your Telnyx admin portal > Messaging > Programmable Messaging page.

  2. Click Add new profile to create a new Messaging Profile.

  3. In the Create Messaging Profile page, you can do the following:

  • Enter a profile name.

  • Paste the Webhook URL in the Send a webhook to this URL field. (i.e. Webhook URL which you have copied from the CX system).

  • Click Save.

  1. A profile ID will be generated. Copy it and paste to the CX system.

  1. Go to Account SettingsKeys & Credentials page.

  2. Click Create API Key to generate an API key.

  3. Copy the API key and paste to the CX system.
