System initialization

After the Cloudfon CX has been installed successfully, use your browser to access the web portal at https://your_ip_address:9006.  If the browser displays the SSL certificate warning, simply ignore it. Afterwards, we will enter the system initialization boot interface. Let's start the step-by-step journey of completing initialization settings!

Preparing for initial configuration

Before starting, let's double-check the installation requirements:

Initial configure steps

When you log in to the web portal for the first time, you need to follow the steps to fill in some necessary information for system initialization. Let's complete it step by step!

Setup Wizard 1: Create root account for CX system

The first step in system initialization is to create a system administrator account for the system, commonly known as the root account.  It is recommended to enter a valid mailbox, which can be found through the mailbox when you forget your password later.  At the same time, the alarm information of the system can be received through the mailbox.

Setup Wizard 2: Certificate File

Please flow Prepare certificate to generate your SSL certificate which will be used for security transport for HTTPS and WSS. After certificate generated, you will get two files:

  • yourname_cx.pem

  • yourname_cx.key

Enter cc-pre.cloudfon.net(Example) in the Web Domain field; open the yourname_cx.pem file in Windows Notepad and copy all contents to the "Certificate File" field; and copy the contents of the yourname_cx.key file to the "Certificate Key" field.

If your certificate key file is encrypted by your password, please enable the "Password for key file" option, and then input the password.

Setup Wizard 3: Installation completed

At this point, you have completed the system initialization configuration, and a system information summary page will appear, which will be displayed only once. Please remember the information provided on this page before saving.

You need to restart the Kong service in Linux, and the restart command is as follows

cd /root/cloud_cx && /bin/sh cloud_cx_ctl.sh restart -s cx-kong

Note: After entering the system administrator interface, you will be prompted to configure the Email Server. It is recommended that you configure it in a timely manner so that you can notify the tenant administrator in a timely manner after configuring the tenant.
