WhatsApp Broadcast

WhatsApp is the world's most popular messaging platform, making it an excellent tool for reaching your customers.

In this guide, we'll show you how to set up and send your first WhatsApp marketing broadcast.

Please note that if you want to use the WhatsApp Broadcast feature successfully, you need to bind your WhatsApp account first. You can find more details from 3.1.4 WhatsAPP.

1. Create WhatsApp Broadcast

Step One: Set up broadcast information and Audience

  1. From the side menu, click Broadcast.

  2. Click New Broadcast.

  1. In the Name field, enter a name of your broadcast.

  2. You can add any tags to your broadcast.

  3. From the Send to drop-down, select the segment you want to send your broadcast to. You can select more than one segment.

Step Two: Choose your WhatsApp sender and your content

  1. Use the Send from dropdown to choose the WhatsApp account that you want to send your broadcast from.

  2. Use the Select a Template dropdown to choose the WhatsApp message template that you want to send as your broadcast. You'll be able to see a preview of your message.

  3. If there are variables in your template message, map them in the Template variables section.

  4. You can set unsubscribe keywords. For the best experience, we recommend keeping your keywords consistent with the unsubscribe keywords in the template.

  1. Each message sent to a customer through a broadcast will not be created as a ticket in CX system. It will only be created when the customer replies to the broadcast message.

  2. When the customer replies with the unsubscribe keyword, the CX system will automatically change the subscription of the contact to the unsubscribed state, and the system will not create. The contact will not be added to the Send to list of all future broadcasts.

Step Three: Test your broadcast

  1. Take a look at the preview of your message.

  2. Enter the number that you want to send to.

  3. Click Send a test message.

Step Four: Send or schedule your broadcast

  1. Click Schedule or send.

  2. To send your broadcast now, select the Send now option, then click Send.

  3. Click Schedule to send your campaign at a future date and time.

2. WhatsApp Broadcast Analytics

Once you've sent your WhatsApp broadcast, we'll collect and analyze data on its performance.

About your WhatsApp broadcast list

  • Name: This shows the name of the broadcast.

  • Audience: This indicates the number of the audience that received the broadcast.

  • Channel Type: This specifies the account type of WhatsApp used to send broadcast messages.

  • Account: This shows the account of sending broadcast messages.

  • Status: This indicates the current status of this broadcast. The statuses include: Completed, Ongoing, Upcoming, Stopped, Drafted and Error.

  • Sent: The percent of messages that were sent.

  • Delivered: The percent of messages that were sent and delivered.

  • Read: Percent of contacts who read the WhatsApp broadcast message.

  • Failed: The percent of messages that failed to be successfully sent.

  • Start Time: The time when this broadcast started to be executed for sending.

  • Last Updated Time: The time when the broadcast was last edited.

About your WhatsApp broadcast analysis

To access a WhatsApp broadcast's performance report, please click broadcast name, then go to Analysis.

The analysis shows you a breakdown of the messages that were sent as part of the broadcast, broken down into several categories:

  • Total: The total number of messages in the broadcast.

  • Sent: The number of messages that were sent.

  • Delivered: The number of messages that were sent and delivered.

  • Read: Number of contacts who read the WhatsApp broadcast message.

  • Replied: Number of contacts who replied to the WhatsApp broadcast message.

  • Unsubscribed: Number of contacts who unsubscribed to WhatsApp broadcast message.

  • Failed: The number of messages that failed to be successfully sent.

In the list below the statistical data, all the contacts in the sending list will be indicated. If the sending fails, the reason for the failure will be prompted

You can add tags to contacts in batches, and you can download the analysis.

Please Note:

  • A ticket will only be generated after the customer replies.

  • If a customer sends a message to unsubscribe, no ticket will be generated.
