1.3 Notification Settings

Notification settings are where you can set notification alert popups for different scenarios. The notification settings ensure no chat/ticket requests or responses from your contacts are missed. 


Step-by-Step Instructions 

  1. Go to your system CloudCX installation domain, and log in with the agent account.

  2. Click Preference Settings in the top right corner.

  1. In the Preference Settings, you can do the following:

  • Click WebChat to enter the WebChat notification settings page.

  • Click Inbox to enter the Inbox notification settings page.

  • Click Global to enter the global notification settings page.

Web Chat Notification

Go to WebChat > Notification tab, you can do the following:

  1. Click image-20241009-064446.png Alert Popup button to enable or disable the notification alert popup for different Web Chat scenarios, including New Visitor, Incoming Chat, New Response, Chat Ended, Chat Transferred.

  2. Click dropdown list to select a notifier tone for each scenario.

  3. Click image-20241009-065049.png to play the notifier tone.

  4. Drag the volume adjuster to adjust the alert volume, or you can click image-20241009-065340.png to mute the alert.

  5. (Optional) You can click Restore Default to restore the Web Chat Notification settings.

  6. Click Save.

Inbox Sound

Go to Inbox > Sound tab, you can do the following:

  1. Click image-20241009-064446.png Alert Popup button to enable or disable the notification alert popup for you to differentiate between channels, including Email, Facebook, Instagram, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram.

  2. Click dropdown list to select a notifier tone for each channel.

  3. Click image-20241009-065049.png to play the notifier tone.

  4. Drag the volume adjuster to adjust the alert volume, or you can click image-20241009-065340.png to mute the alert.

  5. (Optional) You can click Restore Default to restore the Inbox Sound settings.

  6. Click Save.

Global

Go to Global > Office Hour, you can do the following:

  1. Click image-20241009-064446.png Alert Popup button to enable or disable the notification alert popup for office hour started and office hour ended. You will receive popup messages when the office hour is started or ended if you enable the notification alert popup.

  2. Click dropdown list to select a notifier tone for each alert.

  3. Click image-20241009-065049.png to play the notifier tone.

  4. Drag the volume adjuster to adjust the alert volume, or you can click image-20241009-065340.png to mute the alert.

  5. (Optional) You can click Restore Default to restore the Global notification settings.

  6. Click Save.

Notifications on browsers

When you use Web App on a browser that supports HTML5 notifications (like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and more) for the first time, you will be asked whether to let CloudCX send you notifications. If you disabled the feature by accident, you could follow the steps below to turn on the notification.

Notifications on Chrome

  1. Click the Chrome menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser window.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Click Privacy and security.

  4. Click Site Settings.

  5. In the dialog that appears, scroll down to the Notifications section.

  6. Check whether cloudcx.ai domain (For example), is blocked. If yes, please delete the record manually.

  7. Refresh the Web App page, and you can enable the notification.

Notifications on Safari

  1. Click Safari in the top-left corner of the menu bar.

  2. Go to Preferences.

  3. In the Notifications section, allow cloudcx.ai to show alerts in Notification Center.
