8.7 Install Omni Widget on Shopify
Adding an Omni Widget to your Shopify store is a quick and easy process. It does not require any coding skills or technical knowledge.
Prerequisites
To install a web chat widget on Shopify, you will need the following:
Access to your Shopify account.
A code snippet for your web chat widget, you can find more details from 2.2 Installing Omni Widget on Your Website.
Installing on Shopify
Log in to your Shopify account.
From the left navigation menu, go to Online Store > Themes.
In the Dawn section, click on the
dropdown menu and select the Edit Code option.
Copy your plugin script from the CX system.
In the Edit Dawn page, click the Sections folder to expand it. Press the footer.liquid section and paste the chat plugin script before </footer>, then click Save button on the top right.
The Web Chat widget is now active on your website.
Open the website and check out the chat plugin. You will find it in the bottom-right corner. Now, your website visitors can chat effortlessly with you. You can manage the conversations and update the appearance of the widget from the CX system.
